Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee site budget, people development, and operational objectives at the Tallahassee Fulfillment Center.

You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching them to meet performance targets while fostering positive employee relations and leadership capacity. You will drive Lean projects, safety, quality, and customer experience across inbound or outbound operations, coordinating with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, and IT to secure

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics and Lean techniques.
• Familiarity with staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Bachelor's degree or higher; MBA preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality and process improvement initiatives (Lean) to boost operational efficiency.
• Oversees performance of Inbound or Outbound operations including safety, quality and customer experience.
• Sets expectations for Operations and Area Managers and measures performance.
• Leverages managers to source ideas and create improvement plans across the function.
