Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee budget, people development, and operational objectives at the Fulfillment Center site in Tallahassee.

You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach for high performance, and build strong employee relations while driving cross-functional results. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, process improvement, and capability development across inbound/outbound operations, with responsibility for safety, quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with full staffing lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or related field; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, including Lean, to enhance efficiency.
• Responsible for overall performance of Inbound or Outbound operations, including safety and customer experience.
• Sets and clarifies requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and accountability.
• Leverages managers to source ideas and create improvement plans for the area.
• Ensures best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and networks.
• Works with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT to secure resources for projects.
