Job summary

Amazon in Tallahassee, FL seeks a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee budget, people development, and site objectives. You will lead an Operations and Area Managers team, coaching to meet performance goals while fostering positive employee relations.

Responsibilities include driving Lean process improvements, safeguarding safety, quality, and customer experience, and collaborating with HR, Finance, Facilities and IT to secure resources for strategic initiatives across the FC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years direct management in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle including interviewing and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality improvement and Lean initiatives to boost efficiency.
• Oversees performance of Inbound or Outbound operations, including safety and customer experience.
• Sets expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages teams to generate improvement ideas and builds improvement plans.
• Ensures best practices are shared across departments and shifts, within the network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources.
