Job summary

Amazon seeks a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee site budget, people development, and operational objectives at the Tucson Fulfillment Center.

You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching them to meet performance targets while fostering positive employee relations and leadership growth across the FC. This role balances operational excellence with team development and drives results in both inbound and outbound areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
• Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
• 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Prior experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development and implementation of quality initiatives and Lean methods to improve efficiency across the FC.
• Oversees performance and safety for Inbound or Outbound operations and ensures customer experience goals.
• Sets expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages managers by sourcing ideas and turning them into improvement plans.
• Shares best practices across departments, shifts, and the network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources.
