Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC in California seeks a Lead Operations Specialist to support the Operations Team, serve as a subject matter expert, train new hires, and mentor staff. May deliver and set up medical equipment as needed.

The role emphasizes supervising operations, improving workflows, ensuring compliance with Medicare guidelines, and coordinating staffing and resources for multiple regions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in state of residence.
• Experience in health care administration, insurance customer services, claims, billing or management.
• Experience in health care organization, pharmacy that bills insurance or provides diabetes, medical supplies, HMEs, pharmacy or Medicare-certified services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide team members in daily operations and complex case resolution; escalation point for issues and regulatory questions.
• Lead team meetings, onboarding, and ongoing training for operations and client engagement teams.
• Monitor performance metrics and provide coaching to staff.
• Develop and implement process improvements and workflow optimization.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation with management.
• Maintain expertise in Medicare guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory changes.
