Job summary

Bank of America seeks a Senior Operations Analyst to analyze day-to-day issues, research, and resolve problems within a business unit. You will build new procedures, perform complex analytics, create reports, and review exception testing and processing to continuously improve operations.

The role emphasizes communication with leaders, SMEs, and teams, with experience in check processing, training delivery, and risk management.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of check processing experience preferred.
• 1 year of check storage/retention experience preferred.
• Understanding of check processing rules, laws, and applicable industry regulations (e.g., Reg CC, UCC, Reg J).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to support rollout of new or updated processes, including change communication and adoption strategies.
• Skilled in preparing, coordinating, and delivering training sessions for different audiences.
• Experience coordinating procedure reviews with SMEs and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leads implementation for products, services, and operational solutions.
• Manages the design, documentation, implementation, and monitoring of new products and services.
• Consults on procedural, technical, and operational changes.
• Advances business products knowledge within operations environment.
• Fosters relationships with partners and teammates.
• Inspects data to identify issues and trends.
• Presents reporting on key performance and implementation status.
• Roll out new or updated processes across teams and ensure adoption.
• Prepare, coordinate, and deliver training to staff on processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with SMEs and leadership to review and maintain procedures.
• Gather and present process context and documentation to leaders at various levels.
• Review and resolve requests and exceptions using established procedures.
• Handle ad hoc tasks and provide process-related support as needed.
• Draft clear procedures aligned with industry rules and regulations.
• Identify and communicate operational risks across functions.
• Work independently on tasks and projects of limited scope with minimal supervision.
