Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior Operating Engineer in Nashville, TN to support reliable operation, maintenance, and optimization of client facilities. You will work with HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, solving issues and improving energy efficiency.

This on-site role follows a day shift (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CST, Mon–Fri). Visa sponsorship is not provided; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Join us to help deliver safe, efficient facility services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in building engineering, facilities maintenance, or related operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on HVAC systems, water chillers, pumps, motors, air handlers, and related mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation system issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Utilize CMMS technology to manage work orders, document maintenance activities, and track system performance.
• Monitor building operations and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, system reliability, and overall facility performance.
• Coordinate with team members, contractors, vendors, and client representatives to support maintenance activities and respond to service requests.
• Complete general building maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing and electrical repairs, as required.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements while supporting a safe working environment.
