Job summary

IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to electrical, mechanical and communications contracting markets. The General Superintendent leads on-site operations for large projects, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance in line with company requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum of three years as Lead Communications Technician or similar.
• Minimum of five years in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with computer and MS Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
• Must be able to define a project, create a scope of work, estimate and manage to completion.
• Must be able to use listed trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise and discipline project staff.
• Act as senior liaison with customer representatives.
• Plan, monitor and maintain project profitability to meet company goals.
• Ensure deadlines are met per customer requirements.
• Manage workload distribution and staffing levels for on-time delivery.
• Ensure productivity and budget compliance for successful job completion.
• Review job cost postings, invoicing, collections and reporting.
• Complete all project paperwork accurately and on time.
• Perform quality checks and on-site safety measures; conduct daily job walks.
• Serve as main on-site customer contact and attend meetings as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Monitor operational processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and implement process improvements to raise effectiveness.
• Coordinate with Training Department on quality and safety.
• Lead operations meetings and training sessions.
• Manage tools and truck inventory and maintenance.
• Complete any other responsibilities as assigned.
