Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee large telecom construction projects on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance. You will lead staffing, procurement, scheduling, and customer coordination to deliver projects efficiently and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory or managerial experience in telecom/construction.
• Lead Communications Technician or similar position experience.
• Experience in telecommunications or related technical/construction field.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise project staff per Company policies.
• Provide guidance and mentoring; act as senior liaison with customer representatives.
• Plan for and manage project profitability and deadlines to meet customer requirements.
• Direct workload distribution, staffing levels and monitor progress.
• Manage on-time completion and budget compliance for projects.
• Review job cost postings, invoicing, and periodic financial reporting.
• Complete project paperwork accurately and on time; ensure close-out packages.
• Perform quality checks and safety improvements; conduct site walks and as-builts.
• Serve as main on-site contact for questions; attend meetings as required.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Develop and implement process improvements and train staff.
• Lead operations meetings and manage tools/truck inventory.
