Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Payroll Specialist, Human Resources, Senior Representative to join the Global Human Resources team onsite at Amana, IA, Racine, WI or Tulsa, OK. You will support payroll activities for the U.S.

payroll team, handling time and attendance, data accuracy, and inquiries for supervisors on timesheet maintenance. Responsibilities include bi-weekly payroll, data audits, payroll adjustments, confidentiality of payroll data, and collaboration with other HR functions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in Payroll, Timekeeping or Data Entry.
• Bachelor’s degree or actively working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suite (mail, sheets, docs).
• Experience with automated timekeeping systems (Kronos/UKG).
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
• Strong communications skills – verbal, active listening, written.
• Experience working in a union environment.

Responsibilities

• Compiling necessary time and attendance data from Whirlpool’s automated timekeeping system in order to perform bi-weekly payroll.
• Performing data audit checks to ensure completeness and accuracy of required payroll information.
• Collaborate with other support functions to ensure adjustments and deductions are submitted for payroll.
• Maintain confidentiality in dealing with employee records and payroll information with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
• Support local payroll administration, including inquiry and issue support for case management requests.
• Knowledge of local HR policies and procedures impacting payroll.
• Prioritize competing requests while ensuring payroll deadlines are met.
• Participate in activities as needed (i.e. system testing, KPI’s, reporting, special project support, SOX audits, etc.).
• Responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of documentation while championing continuous improvement.
