Job summary

Vertiv in Madison, WI seeks a Site Leader to provide world class jobsite leadership for large, long-duration projects involving power and/or thermal equipment. You will act as Vertiv's on-site technical representative from construction through start-up and site acceptance testing.

You will build strong rapport with customers and co-workers, drive cost controls, schedule adherence, and resource management in collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading start-up and commissioning of power and/or HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Minimum 2 years in industrial construction management.
• Six years of military experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide jobsite construction and technical leadership for large projects.
• Lead multi-disciplinary on-site team consisting of Project Leaders, Installers, Technicians, Customer Engineers, and subcontractors.
• Represent Vertiv at daily customer meetings and coordinate activities on-site.
• Lead start-up and site testing activities and ensure sufficient manpower on-site.
• Provide daily status reports to Service Management, Project Management and sales.
