Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a Sr. Solutions Service Specialist to deliver on-site service for MSC’s inventory management solutions. You will manage VMI, vending, Onsite, and storeroom programs, optimize inventory, and use SAP, AS400, ASI, Salesforce and Tableau to support customers.

The role focuses on problem solving, customer retention, and growth, partnering with sales to expand solutions and maintain high satisfaction. Travel is a significant part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in customer service, telesales, outside sales, storeroom or inventory management.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of technical customer solutions.
• Proven track record of success and strong performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions, including VMI, vending, Onsite and storeroom programs.
• Perform product put-away, order management, and inventory optimization.
• Utilize SAP, AS400, ASI, Vending Portal, Salesforce and Tableau.
• Communicate with key customer personnel to resolve issues and drive retention.
• Promote MSC loyalty through CARE program execution.
• Identify and track customer cost savings opportunities.
• Log activities in Salesforce and maintain 6S standards.
• Drive product expansion through spot buys and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with account teams to enhance satisfaction and plan future projects.
