Thomson Reuters in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking an experienced ONESOURCE Direct Tax expert to join as an individual contributor. You will work directly with AI, Power Automate and next-gen automation tools to design and deliver tax solutions from day one.

The role emphasizes building scalable customer solutions, leading engagements with product and sales teams, and delivering repeatable processes that improve efficiency and profitability through data-driven automation and advanced Excel and BI

Qualifications

• 10+ years in professional services or similar, implementing ONESOURCE Direct Tax solutions.
• Hands-on experience using AI to build customer solutions (e.g., Claude).
• Expert-level knowledge implementing ASC 740 tax provisions and ONESOURCE Tax Provision/Income Tax, Workpapers, Data Import.
• ONESOURCE DataFlow and ONESOURCE APIs know-how.
• Proficiency with Power Automate, Alteryx, KNIME for automations; API-enabled dashboards with Power BI.
• Advanced Excel-based tax workbooks (Power Query, OData, dynamic arrays).
• Bachelor's degree in taxation, accounting, or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer teams to scope projects.
• Lead customer engagements, design solutions, and manage scope, timeline, and delivery.
• Conduct customer-facing Best Practice Reviews, present recommendations, and scope remediation.
• Build quick proofs-of-concept that show customers the future state.
• Use AI to develop repeatable tools, processes, and practices that improve efficiency and profitability.
• Drive expansion opportunities.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for clients.
• Share best practices and informally mentor colleagues.
