Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr. Clinical Project Manager to lead end-to-end management of oncology-focused clinical studies in a homebased/remote role.

You will drive cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure quality across global trials from start-up to closeout. The role requires 7+ years in clinical research with 4+ years in project management, strong client-facing leadership, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Extensive full-service CRO project management experience with end-to-end delivery.
• Strong oncology project management experience with radiopharmaceuticals, CAR-T or cell therapy prioritized.
• Minimum of 7 years of clinical research experience, including at least 4 years in direct project management.
• Bachelor's degree in a science or health-related field; advanced degree preferred (NA/EU).
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for meetings, bid defenses, and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for assigned clinical study projects, ensuring clear communication with the client.
• Coordinate and oversee all clinical services and external vendors to meet timelines and budget.
• Manage overall study budget and change orders to keep projects within scope and financially healthy.
• Collaborate with clinical operations to support trial delivery and take on activities as needed for smaller scope projects.
• Oversee project profitability, billable hours, and forecasting to support business objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans with timelines and proactive risk management strategies.
• Ensure quality management including eTMF readiness and CAPA processes for findings.
• Maintain program documentation and monitor progress with stakeholders and clients.
• Prepare status updates and metrics for clients and senior management, highlighting risks and improvements.
• Lead internal and client meetings to align scope, timelines, and roles.
• Communicate protocol/study issues to clients and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Present at bid defenses and lead training across functional areas.
