Job summary

Atkinson Construction in the United States is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex heavy civil projects as the principal on-site representative. You will create detailed project plans, guide stakeholders, manage risk, and monitor schedule and budget to ensure successful delivery.

Successful candidates will have 8–10 years of engineering and contracting experience, an engineering degree, and a collaborative, ethical approach to problem-solving. Based in LA area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of engineering and general contracting experience on large-scale heavy civil projects.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• High initiative, integrity, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture and ensure team accountability on site.
• Develop project plans with timelines, resources, and cost estimates.
• Manage client relations, reporting, and risk mitigation to keep projects on schedule and budget.
• Contribute to estimating, proposals, and winning new work.
• Ensure compliance with state/local requirements and overall project governance.
