Job summary

Bowden Living in Pensacola, FL, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee daily maintenance operations, lead the on-site team, manage apartment make-readies, and drive preventive maintenance programs. You will ensure safety, high-quality standards, and a superior resident experience.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of multifamily or commercial property maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Experience coordinating apartment make-readies and service requests.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations, service requests, and apartment make-readies.
• Coordinate apartment turns and ensure units are ready on schedule.
• Perform and supervise repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry.
• Conduct inspections to verify Bowden Living quality before move-in.
• Prioritize emergencies and resident service requests.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and safety inspections.
• Maintain records and work orders in property management systems.
• Lead on-site maintenance technicians and groundskeeping staff.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage vendor work.
• Ensure safety regulations and promote safe practices.
• Deliver exceptional resident experience with Community Director.
