Job summary

Relae (formerly Carbon Direct) is seeking a Senior Offtake Strategist to work with buyers and scale corporate offtake for carbon removal, credits, and RECs. You will lead acquisition of key offtake accounts and design structures to meet climate goals while partnering with internal teams.

The role requires strong negotiation, relationship-building, and strategic thinking to navigate credit types, pricing, and durability, in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic offtake/sales.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with key clients and partners.
• Experience with offtake agreement structuring and contract negotiations.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking to assess market dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Support setting sales targets and develop the funnel for high-quality offtake.
• Own acquisition and growth of key offtake accounts.
• Design and develop offtake structures meeting buyers' climate goals.
• Negotiate terms between buyers and developers to align on deal terms.
• Collaborate across marketing, sales, and account management to improve conversions.
