Job summary

EDG Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer III to lead the structural design of offshore oil and gas facilities, including steel platforms, skids and tanks. You will model structures in SACS and guide Designers and Drafters across disciplines through conceptual to construction stages.

The role requires 5+ years in offshore design, familiarity with AISC/ASCE/ACI standards, and proficiency in SACS and STAAD. Some travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Structural or Civil Engineering required.
• U.S. EIT designation required for non-U.S. degrees.
• P.E. designation strongly preferred.
• 5 years' offshore oil and gas design experience.
• Knowledge of AISC, ACI and ASCE codes.
• SACS and STAAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design for offshore facilities.
• Perform structural analysis using SACS (in-place, loadout, transportation, installation, fatigue, pushover).
• Design structural elements (trunnions, mudmats, pipe supports, racks, skid shoes).
• Prepare RFIs and CTRs and reports.
• Interface with project managers and discipline teams; coordinate with drafters.
