Job summary

EDG Inc. in Metairie, LA seeks a Sr. Structural Engineer to design steel and concrete structures for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.

You will lead conceptual through construction tasks for platforms, foundations, skids, pipelines, and risers, ensuring compliance with codes and robust project documentation. You will coordinate with designers and drafters, supervise junior engineers, and prepare calculations using MathCAD and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Structural or Civil Engineering required.
• EIT designation from a US state licensing board if degree earned outside the US.
• Requires ten years of offshore oil & gas facilities design experience.
• Knowledge of AISC, ACI and ASCE design guidelines.
• Ability to use SACS and STAAD.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and detailed structural analysis and design for onshore/offshore oil & gas facilities.
• Perform structural analysis using SACS (in-place, loadout, transportation, installation, fatigue, non-linear).
• Reference current industry standards and codes (AISC, ASCE, API, AWS, ISO).
• Manage multiple projects and develop calculations with MathCAD, MS Word and MS Excel.
• Interface with project managers, engineers, drafters and support staff.
