Job summary

EDG Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Drafter/Designer III in Houston to create 3D models and 2D drawings for complex offshore/onshore structural systems using 3D and 2D software.

You will design details, specify materials, and develop structures from concept through AFC, including skids/modules and multi-discipline supports, while ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires five (5) to ten (10) years structural drafting and design experience in Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas facilities (Offshore and Onshore).
• Onshore foundation design experience required.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Advance Steel and Navisworks; PDMS a plus.
• Working knowledge of AISC, AWS, API RP 2A, and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models and drawings for projects from sketches or SACs model output files and verbal instructions.
• Design technical details and specify dimensions and materials.
• Design and draft Skids/Modules, Onshore/Offshore structures, and multi-discipline supports from concept through AFC.
• Edit drawings and incorporate changes from markups or instructions.
• Assist engineers and designers in resolving design issues and clashes.
