Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine in California is seeking a Clinical Staff Physician to lead medical policies at the assigned Center, under the Chief Medical Officer. The role delivers affordable, high quality occupational healthcare to businesses, workers, and patients, ensuring compliance with Agile's standards and procedures.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with starting compensation of 250,000 to 300,000 USD annually.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical program.
• Active and unrestricted California medical license (or license in progress).
• Active DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification.
• NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Board-certified or board-eligible through AOA/ABFM/ABPM or applicable state board preferred.

Responsibilities

• Spends 100% of time providing direct patient care at the center, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating occupational medicine patients.
• Leads by example to enhance processes and patient experience.
• Acts as Primary Treating Physician for all injuries and expedites case closure.
• Manages clinicians and support staff and ensures supervisory physician requirements for PA/NPs.
• Creates a collaborative environment promoting teamwork, quality, and patient safety.
• Identifies changes with medical leadership to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Ensures accurate documentation, coding, charge capture, and adherence to state regulations.
• Communicates with employers about new injuries and significant clinical updates.
• Participates in team meetings to improve quality and center performance.
• Maintains relationships with clients and payers, responding within 24 hours.
