Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine seeks a Staff Physician to lead clinical policies at the assigned Center and ensure high-quality occupational healthcare. You will work with the Center Leadership Team under the Chief Medical Officer to deliver efficient, affordable care compliant with Agile’s procedures.

The role requires California medical licensure, board eligibility, and DOT/NRCME certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with CA license or license in progress.
• Board certification or eligibility as applicable by state law.
• Active DEA registration and BLS/AED; ACLS preferred.
• DOT/NRCME certification required or obtainable within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Spends 100% of time in a center providing direct patient care, leading by example, enhancing processes to minimize visit times, and delivering a quality patient experience.
• Acts as Primary Treating Physician for work injuries, collaborating to drive optimal outcomes and expedite case closure.
• Manages clinicians and staff; ensures compliance with supervisory physician requirements for PAs/NPs.
• Fosters a professional, collaborative environment with strong teamwork and safety.
• Works with leadership to identify changes for continuous clinical improvement and efficiency.
• Masters clinical systems to ensure documentation, coding, charge capture, and follow-through on orders.
• Ensures compliance with State Practice Acts, WC regulations, and related rules.
• Communicates with employers about new injuries and major clinical changes.
• Participates in team meetings to improve quality, patient safety, and center growth.
• Maintains relationships with center clients and payers; responds within 24 hours.
• Manages staffing levels and proficiency to optimize patient satisfaction and workflows.
• Develops colleagues; supports talent life cycle across staff clinicians and support staff.
• Fosters collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement; aligns with other centers.
• Provides input on center budget and key business metrics.
