Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a Staff Physician to lead center medical policies and programs, delivering high-quality occupational healthcare. You will oversee clinical operations and mentor staff while ensuring patient-centered care and efficient workflows in a compliant, team-based environment.

The role requires a California medical license, board eligibility, and DEA registration, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a compensation range reflecting senior responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. degree and an unrestricted California medical license (or license in progress)
  • Board certified or board eligible through ABPM, ABFM, AOA, or the applicable state medical board
  • Active DEA registration required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Spends 100% of time in a center providing direct patient care, leading by example, enhancing processes to minimize visit times, and creating an exceptional patient experience
  • Ensures day-to-day execution as the Primary Treating Physician (PTP) for all injuries collaborating with therapists and specialists to drive outcomes
  • Manages clinicians and support staff and supervises PA/NPs as required
  • Creates a professional, collaborative working environment that promotes teamwork and patient safety
  • Works with medical leadership to identify and implement changes for continuous clinical improvement
  • Masters use of clinical systems to ensure documentation, coding, charge capture, and follow-through on orders
  • Ensures compliance with State Practice Acts and WC Regulations
  • Calls and communicates to employers on new injuries and significant changes
  • Participates in team meetings to improve quality, safety, and center growth
  • Maintains relationships with clients and payers; responds within 24 hours
  • Manages staffing levels to optimize satisfaction and workflows
  • Develops staff through talent life cycle; supports colleague success
  • Promotes center initiatives consistent with other centers
  • Poses financial awareness and contributes to budget and metrics
