Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a senior Reliability Engineer specializing in observability to partner with product owners, application teams, SREs, and operations to translate customer journeys into measurable reliability objectives.

You will define and govern SLIs, SLOs, dashboards, alerts, and telemetry standards; mentor teams in tracing, logging, metrics, and monitoring patterns; and drive continuous improvement to reduce incident impact and improve service reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
6–8 years of relevant experience in IT service management, production support, or software development.
Strong background in observability tooling and reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

Define and implement observability across critical journeys and ensure alignment with business outcomes.
Design and govern SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability metrics for applications and services.
Develop dashboards, alerts, and telemetry standards; mentor teams on tracing, logging, and monitoring.
