Job summary

Synopsys, Inc. seeks an experienced platform engineer to design, build, and operate observability, automation, and analytics across its expansive infrastructure.

You will improve incident response, visibility, and reliability for critical engineering workloads. You will join the Observability Platform Services team within the EI&CP group, scaling telemetry, tooling, and AI-assisted analytics across global hybrid-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software/infra engineering experience with observability.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure with thousands of compute nodes and/or petabyte-scale storage.
• Hands-on design, implementation, and operation of observability platforms using listed technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance software solutions for observability, analytics, and automation across infrastructure and platform services.
• Build scalable, reliable systems for telemetry collection, processing, searching, correlation, analysis, and visualization.
• Develop tools, APIs, and integrations for monitoring, alerting, incident management, and automation.
• Create capabilities to improve visibility across OS, orchestration platforms, compute, storage, networking, cloud, and enterprise platforms.
• Partner with infrastructure, SRE, and platform teams to identify observability gaps and implement scalable solutions.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code to deploy, configure, and maintain observability components.
• Apply data-driven and AI-assisted techniques to improve signal quality and root-cause analysis.
• Document designs and procedures to boost teamwork productivity.
