Job summary

Canoga Perkins is seeking a Senior O-RAN System Design Engineer to join Product Development at headquarters in California. The role focuses on RAN, Ethernet/IP switching, and 5G transport products, with leadership in architecture, deployment, and customer engagement.

The candidate will write papers, participate in trade groups, and support deployments. Requires strong networking know-how, advanced degrees preferred, and ability to lead technical teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Communication product development or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• PhD degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, design and develop O-RAN based system solutions for 5G use cases.
• Represent Canoga in trade groups like O-RAN and OCP as SME.
• Engage with customers, write white papers, demos and provide technical support.
• Optimize L2/L3 MAC/RRC design and document customer presentations.
• Travel for conferences, events and customer meetings.
