Job summary

Parallel Wireless in Nashua, New Hampshire, seeks a Principal System Integration Engineer to drive the integration, validation, and performance optimization of our Open RAN 5G NR base-station solutions. This hands-on technical leadership role collaborates with development, product, automation, and customer-facing teams to bring new baseband capabilities from design through system verification and deployment readiness.

The role can be based at our Nashua headquarters or other U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of LTE and/or 5G RAN system integration, validation, or performance engineering.
• Experience leading technically complex integration efforts.
• Strong understanding of 5G NR/LTE protocols, RAN architecture, and end-to-end performance.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. government clearance (SECRET/TOP SECRET).
• Experience with real-time software development or debugging and Python testing/automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system integration and testing of 5G NR RAN features and L1-L3.
• Review designs for rate adaptation, power control, scheduling, and interference mitigation.
• Define system-level test strategies to evaluate conformance and performance against specs.
• Develop and improve test methodologies, analysis workflows, and repeatable performance benchmarks; drive automation.
• Investigate and resolve complex integration issues; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Translate requirements into actionable integration plans and test scenarios.
• Produce concise technical reports and evidence-based recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
