Job summary

Canoga Perkins is seeking a Senior O-RAN System Design and Integration specialist to drive design, architecture, and deployment of 5G transport products at headquarters. You will lead ORAN-based solutions, engage with industry groups, and craft features aligned with customer needs.

The role requires deep expertise in RAN, Ethernet/IP switching, and cross-functional collaboration. A Master’s in CS/CE or higher is preferred; travel and customer-facing duties are expected.

Qualifications

• O-RAN and 3GPP tech for 4G/5G RAN and cloud edge.
• IEEE 802.1 LAN/MAN tech with TSN emphasis.
• IETF routing such as IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, SRv6, SR-MPLS.
• Private/Public 5G deployments in the market.
• 7+ years in data communication product development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfort with network tech and group participation.
• Ability to convey complex networking systems clearly.
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to lead highly technical teams.
• Strong rapport with cross-functional staff.
• MS Office skills and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop ORAN-based system solutions for multiple 5G use cases.
• Represent Canoga Perkins in O-RAN, OCP groups as SME.
• Engage in trade groups and events to translate trends into product features.
• Design L2/L3 MAC/RRC solutions and prepare customer presentations.
• Support customer-facing teams by articulating technical advantages of Canoga products.
• Assist adoption during deployment with technical support.
• Travel for conferences, events and customer meetings.
