Parallel Wireless is seeking a Principal System Integration Engineer to drive integration, validation, and performance optimization of our Open RAN 5G NR base-station solutions. This hands-on leadership role collaborates with development, product, automation, and customer teams to bring new baseband capabilities from design through system verification and deployment readiness.

The role can be based at our Nashua, NH headquarters or at another U.S. location with approval from the hiring manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of LTE and/or 5G RAN system integration experience.
• Strong knowledge of 5G NR and LTE protocols and RAN architecture.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, or current active clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Hands-on experience with real-time software development or debugging and Python for testing or automation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end system integration and testing of 5G NR RAN algorithms, radio equipment, and L1-L3 features; establish priorities and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs for rate adaptation, power control, scheduling, and interference mitigation; recommend improvements.
• Define and execute system-level test strategies to evaluate functionality, interop, conformance, and performance against specs.
• Develop and improve test methodologies, analysis workflows, and repeatable performance benchmarks; identify automation opportunities and provide requirements.
• Investigate and resolve complex integration and performance issues identified in labs and customer deployments; drive root-cause analyses.
• Translate product requirements and customer use cases into actionable integration plans, test scenarios, and validation workflows.
• Produce concise technical reports and performance metrics for engineering, product, and customer teams.
• Provide mentorship, facilitate design and defect reviews, and improve integration quality and execution discipline.
