Good Samaritan Society - Mandan Sunset is a 128-bed facility delivering long-term care, skilled nursing, in-house dialysis, post-acute care and restorative therapy in a faith-based, nonprofit setting that emphasizes compassion and respect for residents and families.

The Senior Nursing Assistant provides resident-centered care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assists with daily living activities, monitors vital signs, and supports infection prevention and PPE use.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED preferred, but not required.
• Two years of clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum 12 hours of continuing education annually and keep records.
• Restorative Nursing training may be required within 6 months.
• UAP Registry applicable where states require it.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with motor vehicle record.
• Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Follow infection prevention and PPE policies and maintain high accountability.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Assist residents with meals, hydration, and dining experiences.
• Document interactions and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and participate in committees as needed.
