(GET) seeks a Nuclear Weapons Subject Matter Expert (SME) to advise senior DOE management on nuclear weapons topics and to lead working groups, developing white papers and presentations. The role requires an advanced degree and hands-on weapon science experience.

The position is on-site in Germantown, MD with relocation support for candidates outside the DMV. Full-time with comprehensive benefits and top-secret/DOE clearance expectations.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in nuclear engineering or a physical science.
• 10+ years of field experience in nuclear weapons.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication; ability to read at advanced level.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior DOE management on nuclear weapons topics.
• Lead working groups and develop white papers and presentations.
• Prepare classification guidance and policy documents per DOE rules.
