Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with ABET accreditation.
• Five or more years on a project team designing and analyzing structures.
• Proficient with structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL or ANSYS).
• Familiar with design codes: IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI.
• Proficient with MS Office applications; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a structural engineering team on nuclear facility projects and upgrades.
• Prepare and review design calculations and develop specifications; support drafting staff.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, concrete members, and foundations.
• Address wind/seismic loading and participate in design reviews with clients and vendors.
• Travel to client/vendor offices or plant sites for reviews and coordination as needed.
