System One is seeking a Sodium Fire Design and Analysis Engineer with 10+ years in the nuclear field for a long-term, fully remote contract. You will develop modeling methodologies, perform commercial grade dedication of codes, and run sodium fire calculations to support design and licensing.

Qualificações

• MS/PhD in nuclear engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of nuclear engineering experience.
• Experience with sodium fire modeling and regulatory guidance is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety analysis and QA processes.

Responsabilidades

• Develop methodologies to model sodium chemical reactions from sodium-air, sodium-water, and sodium-concrete interactions.
• Create methodologies for aerosol generation and transport from sodium fires.
• Perform commercial grade dedication of sodium fire modeling codes.
• Develop analytical models to simulate sodium fire impact.
• Support mechanistic source term methods for normal operations and accidents.
• Contribute to sodium fire protection program development.
• Model containment performance including mass and energy release and leak rates.
• Support regulatory submittals and NRC interactions.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to define SSC requirements for radionuclide containment.
