Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own and manage the nuclear QA audit program. You will lead internal and supplier audits, plan schedules, and ensure closure of corrective actions with a team of auditors and technical specialists.

The role requires a strong background in NQA-1 audits, 5+ years in nuclear QA, and the ability to write findings that NRC inspectors can follow. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing against 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA a plus.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspector could follow without a conversation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program, including internal audits of all applicable NQA-1 requirements and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end—from notification to closing report—supervising auditors and specialists.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; manage corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain qualification records for lead auditors and auditors; support audits of our own program.
