Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the nuclear QA audit program and lead internal and supplier audits under ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual schedule, supervise auditors, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

Your role ensures independence from the work audited, maintains qualification records, and supports NRC-aligned reviews. Travel to project sites and facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• Documented training in auditing with a written examination per NQA-1 Part II Subpart 2.23.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on audit experience.
• Experience auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 preferred.
• ASQ CQA certification is a plus.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspectors can follow without a conversation.
• Strong communication and ability to deliver findings to managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead end-to-end audits: notice, checklist, entrance/exit meetings, evidence, findings, report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records.
• Support owner, licensee, and external audits of the program.
• Deliver findings clearly to stakeholders and close corrective actions.
