Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear quality assurance system aligned with ASME NQA-1. You plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and write reports while verifying corrective actions to closure.

You will maintain qualification records and support NRC- and NUPIC-style audits. The role requires a valid Lead Auditor qualification or eligibility within 90 days and 5+ years in nuclear QA with real-world audit

Qualifications

• NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or eligible within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on audits to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA a plus.
• Working knowledge of audit reporting and corrective action processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program: internal audits and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, objective evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; recommend additions or removals to approved supplier lists; perform surveillances.
• Classify findings, issue corrective-action requests, verify effectiveness, and close them with objective evidence.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support owner, licensee, and NUPIC-style audits.
