Job summary

Konecranes in the United States is seeking a seasoned Nuclear Purchasing Leader to head the supplier and subcontract base for projects. You will negotiate complex subcontracts, manage delivery schedules, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Installation & Service, and Engineering to keep projects on track.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in purchasing and experience leading a team, with a BA in Business. Travel to vendors will be required.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational abilities and adaptability.
Experience leading a purchasing team and coordinating with multiple functions.

Responsibilities

Oversee purchasing and subcontract processes from release to receipt of goods at the manufacturing location.
Negotiate all purchase orders not covered by blanket agreements.
Negotiate terms and conditions for purchased or subcontracted goods.
Be responsible for costs versus estimates.
Manage delivery schedules for all purchased/subcontracted products.
Oversee transportation agreements including truck or barge as required.
Develop new suppliers and framing agreements based on costs per pound across locations.
Support erection activities for large cranes at remote sites, including labor and rental agreements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
