Job summary

Aecon in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement and supply chain activities across US New Nuclear Development projects. You will integrate procurement with engineering, quality, construction, and commercial teams to identify risks, qualify suppliers, and ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery of materials and services.

The role requires 10+ years in procurement within EPC or nuclear, strong contract management, supplier oversight, and the ability to travel for audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in a related discipline.
• SCMP, CPSM, CPM, CSCP or equivalent considered an asset.
• Training or experience related to nuclear procurement, supplier quality, NQA-1, ASME, export control, or contract management considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of procurement strategy and sourcing plans across development, validation, and execution phases.
• Oversee supplier qualification, audits, and pre-award evaluations to ensure compliance with nuclear QA and regulatory requirements.
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities including bidding, evaluation, negotiation, award, PO management, and closeout.
• Track procurement status, expediting, and supplier performance; mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead team development and collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Construction, Commercial, and Legal.
