Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in Nuclear energy projects, including SMRs. You will lead large, multi-discipline engineering programs across multiple offices, focusing on scope, schedule, cost, and quality while optimizing client service and financial performance.

You will mentor other project managers, manage risk, and coordinate with federal, state, and local authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or business from an accredited college or university.
• 20+ years of increasing experience in the Nuclear Energy Engineering Industry with at least 10 years in project management.
• Experience in Nuclear and Thermal Generation projects such as BOP and STG design for Nuclear Facilities.
• Firm understanding of PMP Principles.
• Demonstrated capabilities in managing large multi-discipline programs, projects, multi-office projects, and/or multiple projects.
• Outstanding time management skills.
• Experience in Design Bid Build, Design Build, GMP, and EPC project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and implementation of medium to large engineering projects with stakeholders across multiple offices.
• Support business development through scoping, fee development, proposals, interviews, and contracts.
• Define project scope, procedures, schedules, budgets, staffing, and progress milestones post-award.
• Form project teams and assign responsibilities to meet schedule.
• Submit documents to authorities for code compliance and permits.
• Meet with client management to resolve issues and obtain approvals on completion.
• Maintain ongoing client relationships for business development.
• Plan, organize, communicate, and coordinate project engagements.
• Manage day-to-day activities with clients and project stakeholders.
• Prepare project opening orders, outlines, initiation, schedules, executions, and closings.
• Achieve objectives for quality, scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Maintain comprehensive project records.
• Meet performance metrics for engagement profits and margins.
• Analyze performance, resource use, profitability, margins, and revenues.
• Identify out-of-scope work and negotiate changes.
• Identify and manage project risk from proposal through duration.
• Understand key commercial elements in Energy projects.
• Train and mentor other Project Managers and conduct portfolio reviews.
