Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Project Manager to oversee nuclear power program modifications, including SMR-related initiatives. You will coordinate engineers, licensing and environmental professionals, manage life cycle execution, and drive safety, schedule, and cost outcomes for multiple concurrent projects.

The role requires ABET‑accredited engineering education and 5+ years in technical project management, with strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Essential project management and coordination experience in complex engineering programs.
• Strong written, verbal and intercultural communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; well-organized with good time management.
• Experience with preparing and presenting technical reports (virtual and in-person).
• Experience with feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects involving engineering, licensing, environmental disciplines and professionals.
• Lead all aspects of project execution including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client engineers and stakeholders.
• Support KPI reporting for schedule, budget and dashboards.
• Identify, track and control project risks and changes.
• Communicate with stakeholders to resolve constraints.
• Lead project team to meet client and company goals.
• Mentor team members with timely feedback.
• Analyze issues and provide engineering and PM solutions within contract scope.
• Prepare/review reports and studies presenting technical information clearly.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously; conduct site visits and inspections.
• Provide training and support to clients and team members.
• Stay updated with engineering trends and technologies.
