Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in piping design, layout and analysis in power generation, nuclear power or heavy industrial with preference for 2 of those years in a lead role.
• Professional Engineering License required.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Knowledge of AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, and/or other related pipe stress software.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and technical team needs.
• Ability to motivate the team and achieve goals through a positive attitude and effective leadership style.
• Proven experience with a high level of decision making, directing and overseeing routine and advanced technical work performed by others.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.

Responsibilities

• Unit Leadership & Management: Direct/assign work; approve timesheets and expenses; conduct performance appraisals; assist in recruiting staff.
• Quality Control & Technical Oversight: Maintain unit quality; certify design documents; provide technical leadership.
• Project Management & Client Relations: Ensure budgets/schedules; approve documents; lead proposals; build client relationships.
• Staff Development & Performance: Provide coaching; promote professional development; support licenses/certifications.
• Administrative Support: Support staffing plans and company policies.
