Atlantic Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to oversee the preparation and handling of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies. The role involves coordinating technologists, ensuring dose calculations, and maintaining imaging procedures.

The position requires hands-on imaging with scanners and detectors, dose administration under physician direction, and strict adherence to radiation safety protocols across procedures and equipment.

Responsabilités

• Oversee Nuclear Medicine Technologists and radiopharmaceutical preparation in diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
• Mix stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administer doses under physician direction.
• Calibrate equipment used in imaging and therapy.
• Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to image organs.
• Measure radioactivity with Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
• Administer therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
• Follow radiation safety techniques in handling and disposing of radioactive materials.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
