• Calibrates equipment.
• Performs diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to produce images of organs on photographic film.
• Measures radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
• Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician.
• Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
