Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a nuclear power systems engineer to design and review plant modifications, drawings, specifications, and evaluations. You will lead engineering tasks, develop cost estimates, and interface with clients onsite.

The role requires in-office work three days per week under a hybrid schedule and emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration on complex nuclear projects. Ideal candidates hold ABET-accredited degrees, have 7+ years in the power industry, and understand nuclear

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, Systems or General Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience in the power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
• PE license is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Create or review functional mechanical drawings for nuclear plant systems.
• Perform engineering analyses to support modifications and operation of plant systems.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Study modification options for operating nuclear plants.
