Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced engineer to support nuclear power plant systems design, including modification packages and engineering analyses. This role involves developing cost estimates, interfacing with clients at sites, and leading project teams.

The ideal candidate will hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree with 12+ years in the nuclear power industry, and a PE license is beneficial but not required. This is a full-time on-site position within the Nuclear Power Group.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical design of nuclear plants.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Involve in nuclear power plant systems design, including preparation or review of modification packages.
• Prepare functional mechanical drawings and drawings for nuclear plant systems.
• Perform engineering analyses and evaluations to support plant modifications and operation.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Conduct vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment.
• Study options for modifications to operating nuclear power plants.
• Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-work scopes.
• Visit client offices or plant sites to interface with the client and present engineering work status.
• Lead engineering project teams.
