Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a senior mechanical engineer to support nuclear power plant design, analysis, and licensing in Minneapolis. This role emphasizes safe, compliant engineering for complex nuclear systems and components.

The engineer will analyze, design, and review modification packages, performance specs, drawings, and procurement documents, collaborating with multiple teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.

Responsibilities

Modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
System and Component Performance specifications.
Functional mechanical drawings and/or drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
Engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systems.
