Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced professional to support LR/SLR license extension and aging management across the U.S. nuclear fleet. The role focuses on turning LR/SLR commitments into practical field execution plans and may include visual inspections.

Strong coordination with engineers, SMEs, and planning teams is essential. The ideal candidate has LR/SLR experience, familiarity with NRC guidance and NEI documents, and the ability to bridge aging requirements with work management

Qualifications

  • An associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and analysis of nuclear, industrial, or DOE facilities.
  • Proven experience managing and/or participating in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in managing medium-to-large critical projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in providing guidance, mentoring, and training to staff engineers.
  • Licensed Operator for a Utility.
  • Experience delivering accurate, high-quality technical documentation in a highly regulated environment (nuclear, DOE, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation systems, nuclear QA/QC protocols, and configuration management processes.

Responsibilities

  • License renewal and aging management implementation, including alignment with NRC regulations and LR/SLR commitments.
  • Plan and manage inspections and aging management activities to ensure traceability to commitments and program requirements.
  • Coordinate with schedulers, planners, and field organizations to embed aging management needs into realistic work sequences and outage plans.
  • Develop and maintain engineering program basis documentation and supporting technical justifications.
  • Support NRC commitment tracking and closure, including preparing or reviewing technical responses and closure documentation.
  • Interact with clients and NRC in a technical expert role, explaining aging management strategies and results.
