Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a License Renewal/SLR Associate in Knoxville, with hybrid work three days in office. You will coordinate LR/SLR implementations across the U.S. nuclear fleet, translating aging-management requirements into field-ready inspections and plans.

The role requires LR/SLR experience, strong documentation skills, and effective collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and structural SMEs. This position emphasizes safety, quality, and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering accurate, high-quality technical documentation in a highly regulated environment (nuclear, DOE, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with engineering documentation systems, nuclear QA/QC protocols, and configuration management processes.
• Strong systems thinking skills with ability to balance innovation, safety, and traceability.
• Proven capability to collaborate with SMEs and field organizations using drawings, histories, and data.
• Background in mechanical/industrial/field engineering roles beneficial.

Responsibilities

• License renewal & aging management implementation: develop and update procedures, PM basis, and inspection plans.
• Coordinate LR/SLR opportunities with schedulers and field teams to embed aging management needs.
• Develop engineering program basis docs and perform data validation and configuration control for LR/SLR materials.
• Support NRC commitment tracking, inspections, and closure documentation.
• Engage with clients and NRC to explain aging management strategies and inspection results.
• Stay current with LR/SLR regulations and NEI/NUREG guidance.
