Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an Associate in the Nuclear Power Group to help license renewal and aging management across the U.S. nuclear fleet. You will coordinate engineers and field staff to translate LR/SLR commitments into practical inspection and implementation plans.

Ideal candidates have LR/SLR experience, strong communication, and the ability to bridge technical aging requirements with work management systems and field execution, while supporting NRC interactions and project governance.

Qualifications

• An associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in design and analysis of nuclear, industrial, or DOE facilities.
• Proven experience managing and/or participating in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in managing medium-to-large projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience mentoring staff engineers and guiding junior team members.
• Licensed Operator for a Utility.

Responsibilities

• License renewal & aging management implementation, including PM basis and procedure changes.
• Roadmap inspections and aging management activities to comply with NRC regs and commitments.
• Define sample populations, inspection scopes, and traceability to LR/SLR commitments.
• Use work management/planning systems to identify LR/SLR opportunities in online and outage scopes.
• Coordinate with schedulers, planners, and field teams to embed aging needs.
• Develop and maintain engineering program basis documentation and supporting justifications.
• Support NRC commitment tracking, inspections, and closure documentation.
• Interact with clients and NRC as a technical expert; work with SMEs across disciplines.
