Job summary

Join Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group as an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer focused on digital modernization, high-level PLC/DCS/HSI systems, and design optimization for new plants or replacements. You will lead technical decisions in a collaborative project team environment, coordinate with vendors, and contribute to safety and performance enhancements across critical nuclear projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 20+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls design for heavy industrial plants.
• Experience leading engineering teams and interfacing with clients.
• Ability to review drawings and coordinate with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and market high-level, complex programs for nuclear power projects.
• Direct technical decision making within a project team on digital upgrades for controls systems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve instrumentation & controls engineering issues.
• Coordinate design activities to ensure compliance with specifications and client requirements.
• Prepare and review detailed calculations and documentation for digital controls applications.
